Financial expert (IFRS project implementations)

About the company,

Our company’s financial business unit develops and supports software solutions for the financial sector, including banks, financial institutions, insurance companies and industrial firms.

We are hiring a financial expert in a long term, full time position to join our team and take active part in IFRS17 system development and implementation. As a successful candidate you can also get experience and use your knowledge in our credit account management system, covering the entire retail lending process from loan origination through loan account management to debt collection.

Tasks and functions of the position

  • Ensure the clear understanding of business needs
  • Develop, validate and review business logic documentation
  • Prepare business analysis and technical specifications
  • Coordinate the clients’ change requests concerning system developments
  • Take part in product and process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in project implementations for reporting and loan account management systems
  • Cooperate with developers and testers
  • Deliver internal and end-user trainings
  • Carry out pre-sales tasks / presentations to customers in domestic and foreign markets

Required Skills

  • University or College degree in Finance/Economics and/or IT
  • Advanced knowledge in in spoken and written English
  • 2+ years professional experience in accounting/controlling or equivalent accounting/controlling knowledge through financial system development
  • Good understanding/knowledge of financial statements
  • Solid Microsoft Excel knowledge, experience with basic database tools (SQL)
  • Strong analytical/mathematical skills
  • Accuracy and precision in work
  • An effective team-player but also able to work independently
  • Willingness to travel


  • Experience in defining and specifying accounting workflow processes at banks (accounting, controlling, analytics)
  • Experience in processes management, business analytics gained in the insurance business
  • Result-oriented attitude
  • High level of problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive personality
  • Need and ability for learning and development
